“Anything Short of Sin” behind the scenes

12 06 2008

Here’s little peek into what my job is like…kind of. First, some outtakes from our action trailer shoot are above.
*edit: The actual trailer can be found HERE.

Plus, some people seemed interested in the making of the special effects, so here are a few images of the process:

CGI Explosion process
A CGI explosion. Composited in After Effects with our background plate & stock detonation clips.

3D Car Jump Process
Car jump. 3D car surfaced & rendered in Lightwave3D, then composited with After Effects. The same process was used for the helicopter & jet shots.

Ledge - After Effects Key
Stephen hanging from the ledge. This was shot right outside our building. We shot the background plate from a rooftop in downtown OKC.

Umm,

That was pretty cool. Good thing you guys don’t cuss a lot or that might have made it onto the outtakes. Good thing Craig doesn’t cuss a lot either…cause that would have been weird.

Thanks for the behind the scenes!

Very cool, I’ve decided that I want your job. Let me know if you ever want to trade. :)
