FBC Houston logo reveal

22 09 2008

A piece I did for Houston’s FBC (through fellow Bling-teamer The Real Nick Jones and difted). The church is revamping their look and this was built for the big reveal. The liquid amber feel was Nick’s brainchild and I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

NOTE: the final version ended up with different copy (which worked fine). I chose this version for my portfolio b/c the look was built with the “rebirth/growth” theme in mind, and I felt this copy supported the visuals more.

I love it when design subconsciously triggers the hunger reflex (I think this accidentally does), which is why I’ve decided that my new word will be “tasty” when describing what I like or want to see in a piece.

It’s like I was swimming through beer….hmm, reminded me of college a bit, or two hosers who try to control hockey player’s minds with awesome synthesizers.

Hey, I used that music to sell a book a few weeks back.

You gotta teach me how to do that. Was it all Lightwave?
